Enrollment in the Oak Arbor School is open to the public and to children of members of the sponsoring congregation. Since the school is based on Christian principles, we welcome students from families who support the unique philosophy of education which guides our school. We consider each new student a blessing to our program.

All students applying for the first time must:
1) be deemed ready for the school grade level that they wish to enter (Students entering PreKindergarten must turn 4 years old by the June 30th before entrance)
2) not have physical, behavioral, or learning disabilities that, in the judgment of the Oak Arbor School administration, are beyond the scope of our staff’s training or the school’s resources
3) be able to communicate at chronological age level in the English language

Enrollment Procedure
Please contact the school with your questions, and consider making an informal, pre-enrollment visit. There are numerous special activities to attend throughout the year to get a hands-on understanding of the school's unique offerings and benefits.

1) Submit an Application Form and fee to the Oak Arbor School.
2) An appointment will be arranged for parents to visit the school, meet with admissions staff and have a conference with the Principal.
3) Your child will make a 1-2 day visit to his or her classroom. (The length of time will be determined by the age of the student.) During this time the staff will observe your child to determine appropriate placement.
4) If deemed necessary by school staff, access to school records and/or the results of any prior testing may be required for further consideration.
5) Unless there are extenuating circumstances, parents will hear the results of their enrollment application within one week of completing the registration process.

Re-enrollment
Re-enrollment is offered by the Oak Arbor School's invitation based on the judgment of the staff that a relationship of mutual benefit between the school and that student and his/her parents has been established and can be fruitfully continued. Accordingly, Oak Arbor School reserves the right to terminate or not to renew a student’s enrollment if they conclude that the actions of a student and/or parents make it impossible for the school to effectively accomplish its educational mission. Re-enrollment information will be sent to parents in March/April.

Tuition
Tuition for the 2007-2008 school year is $6,600 per student, per year, for grades 1-8. Kindergarten (5 mornings/week) is $3,300 per student. Pre-K (2 mornings/week) is $1,700 per student. (Ask about discounts for additional children from one family.) Full payment may be made at registration or in ten equal payments throughout the school year. Tuition includes all necessary texts and supplies, but does not include personal items.
