Recent News:

"My Name is Rumplestiltskin"

The first through fourth grades did a fabulous job performing the fun-filled musical, "My Name is Rumpelstiltskin", on Fri., May 9. Congratulations to all the students, their teachers and the volunteers who helped in so many ways. These dramatic performances add to the richness of our program, and the students learn a tremendous amount from the experience.

Field Trip for Middle School Students

As a complement to our study of WWII the 7th/8th grade students had a very fascinating experience at the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Farmington, MI on Wed., Mar. 19.  ~ Dawn Genzlinger

Science Fair - Mar. 13 @ 7 PM

Congratulations to all the students, parents and teachers! Oak Arbor School’s first Science Fair for grades 1-8 was a great success! The social hall was humming with conversation and demonstrations as the students showed their science projects and experiments to many visitors. What a great opportunity to stress curiosity about the wonders of the Lord’s creation. Thanks go especially to Gay Elphick and Elise Gladish for organizing and overseeing this big project.

Click here to go to the Science Fair web page. You can also find the page by going to the "Classrooms & Programs" link (on the left).

Math Fair & "Pi Day"- Mar. 14 @ 1:30 PM

On Friday afternoon, March 14 (3.14...) the middle school students led the first through sixth graders in math games. This was in honor of pi day: 3.14 (get it? March 14=3.14=pi). The older students set up various stations throughout the social hall to reinforce concepts taught in math classes in all grades. Afterwards the students enjoyed refreshments (including pie). Thanks to Dawn Genzlinger and her helpers for their initiative with this activity.
