The Swedenborg Library

The Library was opened in 1988. Sweden's Queen Silvia visited the Bryn Athyn College to mark and dedicate the library in honor of one of Sweden's great historical figures, Emanuel Swedenborg, for whom the library was named.

The Swedenborg Library is home to more than 90,000 books, periodicals, and special collections. Located in the heart of the Bryn Athyn College campus, the library consists of 35,000 square feet of floor space on three floors, including a computer lab. It serves the needs of the College and other schools on campus, as well as members of the local community. Dedicated to support Bryn Athyn College students, the library is also a foundation for research. The library houses the world's largest collection of Swedenborg's works, among other rare collections.
