The 2011 Journey - Pause: Make Space for God
The Oak Arbor Church is offering its fourth annual Journey Campaign.

This year's program is called, “Pause: Make Space for God.”  Pause brings some breathing room back into our day, giving us a chance to consciously renew and strengthen our relationship with God. This program asks us to designate a portion of time every day to explore the Bible and listen for God’s messages, to ask meaningful questions and to experience the presence of the Lord in a new and powerful way.

Beginning on January 29th, this seven-week program asks us to designate a portion of time every day to explore the Bible and listen for God’s messages.  The goal of the program is to allow participants to experience the presence of the Lord in a new and powerful way. Every Sunday a new topic will explored. Groups can then meet to discuss the sermon and related readings in the workbook. Participants can work individually, in small groups, and with their community on spiritual growth. The Sunday School program will also focus their lessons on the weekly themes. Whether you know the Bible well or are picking it up for the first time, here is a framework to support your exploration. Create a space to hear God's voice in your life.

What is the Pause: Make Space for God Journey?

Puase: Make Space for God is a seven week spiritual growth program where participants will make a commitment to work on spiritual growth. There are three opportunities as part of this program:
• Worshipping together on Sunday
• Participating in a discussion group
• Individual weekly reading

The Sunday sermons, weekly readings, children’s program and small groups will be coordinated around the focus of “Pause.” Join us as we experience the power of life change together.

The Journey program is a great opportunity for personal growth and to build friendships and connections with people in the Rochester area and beyond.

People who have participated in past Journey programs say:

    on the journey of life.”
